12-Step and Peer Support

  • LancasterAA.org provides information on Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in Lancaster County, helping individuals connect with local AA gatherings for peer support and shared recovery.

  • LancasterPANA.org offers a directory of Narcotics Anonymous meetings in the Lancaster area, giving people in recovery access to supportive, substance-free community gatherings.

  • Lancaster County Recovery Alliance (LCRA) is a grassroots coalition dedicated to making recovery visible, accessible, and supported throughout Lancaster County. Founded in 2015, LCRA works to eliminate stigma, promote awareness, and advocate for individuals and families affected by addiction through community events, education, and collaboration with local partners. Their mission centers on encouraging a recovery-friendly community where people feel supported every step of the way.

Our Current Recovery Home Partners

We do not deliver individual backpacks. If you are staying in a local facility and are in need of a backpack, please have your social worker or house manager reach out to us at soh@ascoopofhope.org.

We currently provide backpacks to individuals entering recovery through the following partner recovery homes in Lancaster County:

  • R3 Recovery House provides a high standard of living for people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. R3 House seeks to foster a process where individuals can:

    RECOVER from addiction.

    RESTORE their self-esteem and confidence while discovering their God given abilities.

    REBUILD their lives.

  • Blueprints for Addiction Recovery provides comprehensive, individualized treatment and recovery programs that address addiction and co-occurring mental health needs through structured care, life skills development, and ongoing support in Pennsylvania. They focus on holistic recovery that supports the whole person on the road to long-term wellness.

  • Grassroots Recovery Homes is a sober living home in Lancaster County, PA, offering a safe, structured, substance-free environment for individuals transitioning from treatment back into everyday life. The home focuses on stability, community, and building healthy routines to support long-term recovery.

  • The GateHouse offers residential extended care, outpatient services, and transitional living to support individuals overcoming addiction. With evidence-based programs and a supportive community environment, The GateHouse helps people build life skills, stability, and long-term recovery.

  • Addiction Recovery Systems (ARS) provides licensed outpatient addiction treatment services in Lancaster that include detox support, counseling, and maintenance care designed to help individuals reduce substance use and move toward sustained recovery.

Treatment, Behavioral Health and Prevention

  • Lancaster County Recovery Alliance (LCRA) is a grassroots coalition dedicated to making recovery visible, accessible, and supported throughout Lancaster County.   • White Deer Run offers a range of addiction treatment and behavioral health services that support individuals through detox, residential care, outpatient therapy, and recovery planning with personalized treatment options.

  • Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services, including psychiatric care and addiction support.

  • WellSpan Behavioral & Mental Health offers integrated behavioral health services including counseling, therapy, and crisis support across the region.

  • Compass Mark is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing addiction through science-based education, skill-building, and community collaboration. Serving Lancaster, Lebanon, and Chester Counties, Compass Mark offers evidence-informed prevention programs for individuals of all ages, including school-based initiatives, community training, and confidential support through its Addiction Resource Center. Their work helps people build resilience, make healthy choices, and access resources that promote long-term wellbeing and a life free from addiction.

  • Pennsylvania ATTC supports workforce development and education in addiction prevention and recovery services throughout the state, offering training, resources, and evidence-based practices to strengthen addiction treatment and recovery support systems.

Housing, Shelter and Basic Needs

  • Water Street Rescue Mission provides marginalized members of our community, those experiencing homelessness or poverty, with the tools they need to build a hope-filled future.

  • YWCA Women’s Shelter offers safe shelter and supportive services for women in crisis, helping them find stability and access ongoing support.

  • PA Department of Human Services connects individuals to health care, food assistance, and social services that support stability and recovery.

  • United Way of Lancaster County mobilizes community resources, funding, and partnerships to address local needs, including health, education, and recovery support initiatives that strengthen families and individuals across the region.

  • Anchor Lancaster strives to be a good neighbor by providing a hot breakfast and warm showers every weekday, while aiding with other essential needs. They offer a welcoming safe environment, receiving guests with dignity, respect & compassion.

  • The 521 Club is a community-focused venue providing space for events, gatherings, and programs that bring people together. We are grateful to partner with them as the new home of our Ice Cream Social fundraiser.
